UMU 04
I want to apologize for the hiccup on the last post. I do not know the reason yet but the end of the poem could not be seen. So I am posting it below in hopes that the whole poem can be seen. I also want to thank all of you. We are all going through tough times right now, but we must remain strong because there are better days to come. I hope that these poems help those who feel they are alone the feelings of lost love, that they are not alone in that feeling. Here is a quote that I read almost everyday that helps me:
"Perhaps one day we will meet again as characters in a different story, maybe we'll share a lifetime then." -Pavana.
UMU 04: Time: Remaining: Lost
Today I ran a mile. Did you know a mile has about 2,000 steps?
Do you know how many miles a person walks in a life time? 110,000 miles.
Today I traveled 2,000 steps without you.
In the three years with you, we shared 4,500 miles. That's 9,000,000 steps with you...
If I am to make it 110,000 miles, that will be a total of 220,000,000 steps.
And so far I have taken 66,000,000 steps. I still have 154,000,000 steps left.
But for reasons I only know, those 9 million steps make all those other numbers infinitesimal.
Except for 154,000,000. Because that is how many steps I have remaining that are not with you.
If an average person lives to 80 and I am 22 now.
That is 58 years I have left without you, and I do not want them if you aren't there.
Because if each second passes like a year, and a day has 86,400 seconds, I will have lived 86,400 years in a single day.
Can you imagine the 58 years left? And how long 154,000,000 steps now seems...?
